Introduction

This collection consists of performance reports of various poultry tests conducted by certain states and Canadian provinces. Included are the following Standard Egg Laying Contests: NJ (1919-71); ME (1942-46); AZ (1931-46); CA (1947-54); CT (1945); GA (1946) --- Random Sample Egg Laying Tests: AZ (1965); CA (1948-68); FL (1965); MN (1964-73); MD (1964-72); NY (1953-66); NC (1965-67); PA (1968-79); TX (1964-68); WI (1963-66); Alberta (1963-66); British Columbia (1965-68); and New Brunswick (1964-66).

Other chicken testing programs included AR Random Sample Commercial Egg and Controlled Environment Test (1963-64); IA Multiple Unit Poultry Test (1965); MO Colony Cage Egg Production (1965-72): NH Multiple Unit Egg Production Test (1965-82); TX Genetic Environment Performance Testing Program (1968-70); AR Meat Performance Egg Phase and Reproduction Test (1963-70); CA Poultry Meat Production Test (1949-62); MA Chicken and Turkey Broiler Test (1965); ME Production and Broiler Test (1951-56); and ME Production and Pullet Test (1972-79).

Turkey tests included: CA Random Sample Turkey Meat Production Test (1956-62); CA Random Sample Junior Turkey Test (1959-61); and CA Ranch Test (1962-63).

Floyd Marcus Hixson was on staff at Fresno State College, Fresno, California.
